Research towards finding efficient and accurate proxies for models within the Display Advertising team which help reduce the model size without compromising much on prediction accuracy.
Came up with global and local models, reducing the model size across all the campaigns by a factor of 50-70%.
It was interesting to notice that the estimates, even while using simple linear local and global models, gave forecasts closer to the actual data in many cases, as compared to a Linear Regression over historical data.
