• Setup the development team for the company's IAAS cloud platform InstaCompute. The team was responsible for adding new product features and day-to-day maintenance of the product.
• Setup the development team for Software Automation team for the Managed Services . Conceptualized and setup SLDC and framework for various activities towards automation of managed services in the areas of System/Network monitoring, trouble ticket automation, developing interfaces with Remedy TT system.
• Another milestone achieved was the conceptualizing and setup of Business Analytics using Open Source Pentaho BI Platform. Pentaho tightly couples data integration with business analytics in a modern platform that brings together IT and business users to easily access, visualize and explore all data that impacts business results.

• IndiMail is a Scalable, Secure, Reliable, Efficient, and a highly configurable Messaging Platform. Most of the parameters are configurable through set of environment variables or control files. Using a system called 'envrules', these variables are configurable on a per-user basis allowing IndiMail to behave differently for different users (or set of users).
• IndiMail has the ability to distribute the users in a domain across multiple hosts. You can have multiple hosts hosting a domain placed anywhere and tied up by IndiMail. This does not force a filesystem architecture like NFS to be used for have large number of users (typically in an ISP/MSP environment)
• IndiMail has multiple queues (called a queue collection). The system IDs and configuration files used by IndiMail are all configurable through a set of environment variables, allowing you to customize IndiMail at run time the way you want.

• Set-up the company's R&D team at Chennai. Is responsible for managing the technical teams, coming up with ideas/innovations, leading the R&D team, Software Development and managing the technology infrastructure. Other areas of responsibility included implementation of ideas which our CEO thinks of or wants to try.
• Has been instrumental in set-up of facial recognition software, high scalable systems using MySQL as the database. The web servers easily scale up-to > 100 million page views / month. Other notable achievements has been the development of DKIM which Consim now uses for all email communications. My development of DKIM is also being used the the qmail community and is listed as one of the DKIM solutions available for deployment at www.dkim.org. I also designed & deployed a facial recognition software which helps grooms/brides to look for a partner who look like someone they want them to look like. The platform won a place in the top 50 Nasscomm IT innovators 2009.

• Setup and started Yahoo Web Services India Pvt. Ltd. Software development unit at Chennai. I was responsible for staffing, mentoring & welfare of the staff at Chennai.
• Played the role of International Architect for Y! India. Participated in the review of product requirement documents, reviewing technical designs and specifications for projects, and test plans. As a technical expert, gave support and guidance to engineering. Ensured that products provide simple and stable interfaces thus easing their integration with other products. Provided architectural and “big picture” oversight for development of new or enhanced products. Was also responsible for defining guidelines for developers to standardize usage of third-party products and technology, building on top of the standard hardware and software provided by service engineering.
• Worked closely with the Chief Technology Officer of Y! India to drive the Y! India strategy down the team.

• Developed a robust mail platform - SifyMail product now sold commercially. Contributed to the Open Source community (especially on the qmail list http://cr.yp.to (http://msgs.securepoint.com/cgi-bin/get/qmail0402/50.html). Designed the Anti-Spam solution for Sify’s Mailing platform and http://mail.sify.com. Also developed an Anti-Spam appliance ‘SAS’ (Sify Antispam).
• Formulated the strategy for using LAMP as the core architecture for majority of the web applications developed. Multiple proprietary platforms were migrated to LAMP platform resulting in higher uptime, higher quality of service at lower costs.

• Other responsibilities include planning the technology budget and providing inputs to business on monthly basis. Has been instrumental in setting up the Technology team from scratch in Dec 99.
