I am Aarushi Bafna. I trace my roots back to Jaipur, Rajasthan. I did my schooling at Maharani Gayatri Devi Girls’ School. My love for design sparked during my time at architecture school - Balwant Sheth School of Architecture, Mumbai. When it comes to design, my inspirations span across architecture and various other creative fields. I consistently study the works of renowned architects such as Rem Koolhaas, Zaha Hadid, Santiago Calatrava, and Charles Correa, among others. I also draw inspiration from a wide range of artistic influences, including Piet Mondrian, Ettore Sottsass, and Victor Vasarely—artists whose distinct styles and eras continue to inform my creative outlook. Since 2016, I've been living my dream as a freelance designer and founder of two amazing architectural firms: Studio Aarushi Bafna & Studio Aadri, both are based in Mumbai. Studio Aadri was Co-founded alongside Drishti Haria Shah in 2022. At our studios, we're all about creating unique designs that blend style with practicality. To date, we have designed over 50K+ Sq. Ft. of area over 100+ projects for brands like Godrej, Tira, and Mangalam Builders and even handled global projects with Westin Resorts & Spas and Allies of Skin from LA, besides exciting projects like designing the new Neerja Modi School campus in Jaipur and working with celebrities like Master Chef Ajay Chopra & Isha Ambani. If that was it, I found my interest in being a mentor cause why should knowledge and expertise be buried within? Therefore, I started with a masterclass named ‘Business of Design’. As the name suggests, I teach students the essentials that architectural schools often miss. So far, 500+ students have been taught the same.
