• started on with an idea to work with Maps.
• So started with writing code to ingest maps data (a lot of shitty map data)
• Realized it is almost impossible to debug map data by just looking at the log, so build a cool maps editor which lets others add a road and houses or whatever.
• Moved on to building a workflow management system because people kept adding random stuff to the map. It ended up becoming Github of 2 dim data.
• Moved on to working with folks who build routing services.
• I am building trip monitoring systems to track orders and generate summaries from it.
• I am currently writing code in Golang (isn't it exciting)
• Looking forward to build performant maps tools.

• Did some work around building a business tool for business traveler around the world.
• Writing API's to connect with third-party providers (read a lot of random dev docs)
• Wrote some code and it broke in production - so wrote a lot of RCAs and looked at Grafana and Prometheus for a while. Now I am wise and don't do such mistakes.
• Went on to work on some Authentication tools. Realized auth should be blazing fast to wrote code which was blazing fast.
• Used open source tools to build distribute tracing for HTTP and RPC systems. i just wanted to look at cool microservice graph.

Dec 2018 – Apr 2019 · 4 mos

• wrote code to move old Ruby code to cool new Java Spring code.
• Along the way understood microservices.
• Moved from SQL to Mongo and Elasticsearch wrote a lot of elasticsearch queries.
• took a simple service from 10 requests/sec to 2500 requests/sec.
• worked on internal tools to maintain external consumers.
