Description:
Ø SMS center (SMSC) is responsible for handling the SMS operations of a wireless network. Huawei’s short messaging service application handles SMS processing and delivery. Different sub systems of SMSC takes care of protocol decoding and encoding, authentication, charging, anti-spoofing, anti-spamming, flow control, storage and schedule of SMS across SMPP/GSM/
CDMA networks. To record history and to guarantee storage and delivery of SMS, SMSC makes use of databases like ORACLE, DB2 and File Servers. SMSC interacts with Service Providers over TCP/IP and with MSC and HLR over SS7 network for transferring SMS. The objective is to enhance and maintain the messaging solutions for various clients of Huawei.
Technical responsibilities: Design and develop additional features and functionalities for performance improvement and to satisfy the requirements of different clients. Detecting base code defects and fixing them effectively. Develop UT and ST test cases for ensuring code quality. Mentoring of new joinees. Review code written by peers. Responsible for the quality and the delivery of requirements handled by juniors.
Project: PPS Proxy, June 2012 – Till date.
