• Built the backend of a flagship product from scratch, including various micro-services that handle and process over 3,000+ GPS pings per second in real-time, powering the entire product.
• Implemented write-through caching with Redis, offloading 1,000+ write commands per second from the primary MongoDB node. This enabled scaling down the cluster and achieving a 40% cost reduction.
• Designed and developed a comprehensive GPS ping filtering system using techniques such as duplicate removal, speed regulation, noise reduction, acceleration control, and other filters for enhanced data accuracy.
• Processed and managed over 600 million data points in a single collection. Achieved ACID properties using MongoDB Transactions and optimized database queries and indexes, reducing response times by 30%.
• Added polyline generation from coordinates, significantly reducing data volume in the collection.
