Working with Amazon Fulfillment Technologies on
maintaining and improving their Decant operations.
Decant is a process of transferring items from cases
into totes. Decant operations was recognized as a
bottleneck in the vendor to amazon storage supply
chain.
Owned multiple projects (from ideation to deliv-
ery) to increase the productivity and quality of pro-
cesses used by decant associates. Worked with the
management to create a targeted team for decant,
defined short term goals and proposed long term
charter of the team. Through implementation of
the various project, processing time of cases(cartons)
& pallets were reduced by 14% & 89% respectively and process compliance was increased with other cross
cutting measures. Worked directly with stakeholders, managers and other SDEs (within and across
teams) to deliver the project expectations on time.
Apart from improving experience for existing clients,
usage of decant tools also increased 8 fold in past
3 years. This was due to increased usage by ex-
isting client (organic growth) but also adoption by
new customers
Worked on defining team processes & impacting
organization process. Major ones being - CR guidelines, systematic deprecation of older packages,

extended WFH & security certifications.

Ad Exchange Server – Worked on development of a highly scalable Ad Exchange Service with special focus on video ads. Major efforts were put into meeting the stringent latency requirements of 200 ms per request at a scale of 5,000 QPS. Also worked on making the platform highly customizable, so that new bidders and publishers can be onboarded quickly.
Data Pipeline – Worked on building a batch ETL system that would fetch auction logs from Ad-Exchange servers and transform the data using Hadoop and Map Reduce. The transformed data is further exposed through api's and also loaded into Druid which acts as a backend to an internal data visualisation tool.
