In 1997, Tom Emerson walked away from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Economics. Entering the advertising world in 2000 with a position at VentureDirect WorldWide, was a move that turned a job into a career. Starting as a Sales Associate in the Print Media division, Tom’s leadership ability earned him the title of Vice President of Sales within 8 years. In 2009, Tom joined Plattform Advertising as Director of Business Development. This new position brought with it the challenge of integrating the Print Media division and an Interactive division. In June 2010, Tom successfully helped launch Direct Action Media where he is currently the Vice President of Sales and loving every minute of it.
