• Redesigned decades old Groups backend infrastructure. Designed and built multiple components in the new API Layer like Asynchronous Activity Event logging, Bucketing, Security, Authorization, Authentication, Admin Frameworks. Lead team in designing and building multiple new features like Pin board, Link Enhancer, Attachment Explorer, Group Recommendations, Sub Groups, Geographic Groups, Search, Latest Updates etc. driving web engagement up by 66% and email engagement up by 50%.
• Worked with the team and built a simplified, efficient, low latency, asynchronous API system to transform Groups as the 3rd fastest site in Yahoo, serving 600 million pages views to 16 million unique users per month.
• Worked on Abuse and Spam Control tactics, which lead to 90% drop of incoming emails as spam and clean up millions of abusive groups. Worked on DKIM, DMARC, etc. Interacted with Y! Mail Anti-Spam Team.
