Launched Bank Redirect-based payment method for enabling Customers in Malaysia shopping on Amazon.com to pay for their purchases in local currency using their local bank accounts. For this program, I drove the engagement and integration with Adyen, a third part payment processor. This has enabled Amazon to grab ~40% new Customers in Malaysia.
Launched a Promotions Tool which allows marketers to offer incentives via on-site advertisements to customers upon adding an eligible payment method to their Amazon Wallet. Customers can click on the ads enabled by this tool during checkout, add the specified payment method named in the ad and receive a promotional credit in real-time. Customers may redeem this credit for site-wide products including retail, FBA, 3P, and digital products. We achieved a conversion rate of ~27% (i.e. customers who clicked the ad and added an eligible card instrument) via this program
Started and drove an engineering excellence/ innovation program for Consumer Payments team to reduce the Accounting UAT time line from 12 weeks to 8 weeks.
