• Built a personalization, analytics and BI stack (ground up) as a hybrid cloud solution that generates 80% organic revenue across the company's business. Staffed and groomed a team of 15-20 members to deliver this solution using all open stack components and shouldering the devops responsibilities of big data solution both in-house and on AWS. This of course is in addition to architecting the cloud service components and a comprehensive data warehouse to support all the BI functions.

• Worked on the Windows Search and Cortana Team, Microsoft's Digital Personal Assistant product, that is built uniquely with a hybrid approach where experiences span both client and service. My area of focus was personalization and gathering the data and building the intelligence for it. I also worked on Speech and Natural Language processing components. My work here entailed working with several technologies and products such as Bing, Office 365, Azure Active Directory, Power BI. I have worked across several groups in Microsoft and across various disciplines to enable scenarios within Cortana. I have been instrumental in helping this product evolve in several dimensions.
• Designed and implemented the Intent Extraction personalization feature for the very first release of Cortana on Windows Phone 8.1
• Led the Cortana China effort and shipped Cortana in its first international market in Windows Phone 8.1 SP1 release
• Led the effort to build Cortana as a universal app for all Windows devices with all of its personalization, speech and natural language capabilities in the Windows 10 release
• Worked on expanding the Cortana roadmap to enterprise audience.

• Worked on the Windows Presentation Framework (WPF) Team. WPF is the flagship presentation platform from Microsoft and the pioneer of XAML based UI. It ships as part of the .Net Framework. I worked through several releases of this product including its very first that was part of .Net 3.0. I first joined this team as an IC Developer, right after college and then moved ahead to serve as a Development Lead for ~5 years for the latter half of my time there.
• Helped design and implement the XAML parser, the XAML property engine, Routed Events, Data Binding, Styles, Templates and several other framework components.
• Led a team of ~10 developers to release the first ever WPF codeplex site, along with a suite of XAML controls. viz. DataGrid, XAML Office Ribbon Controls, DateTimePicker. This ship vehicle was chosen as mechanism to flight functionality to developers, sooner. The same components would then be integrated into the shipping product in the following release.
