• My team owns the work orchestration and ML Ops platforms for Uber. I have driven their adoption across all the major orgs at Uber in close partnership with various multi-functional teams (Earner, Maps, Safety, CO, Freight, Grocery, Eats).
• Grew the team to 40+, including growing and promoting manager, kept regrettable attrition to less than 5% YOY while following a principled approach towards creating a high performing team.
• Led the team successfully through multiple company & industry wide changes including re-orgs, multiple leadership exits, layoffs as well as COVID.
• Additionally, I am a passionate supporter of sustainable growth. I have been extensively involved in various Bangalore site initiatives to drive diversity, create high performing teams and be a catalyst to create a cohesive site culture as the site has grown from 30 people to over 800 people.

• Trip Operations Platform (Jul’19 - Feb’21)
• I was asked to kickstart the TOP charter in Bangalore. The sister team in the US had lost most of the members to unexpected attrition & the team in India needed to be created.
• Took-over the team leading ownership transfer of legacy systems while supporting ongoing critical production workflows. Launched multiple successful programs in collaboration with various geo-distributed orgs across Uber, without a PM partner. Parallely, shipped new features and conceptualized the new generation work orchestrator for Uber - uTask which would eventually replace the legacy systems.
• Grew the team to 10, hiring talent across all levels. Managed the team through COVID and 2 company wide layoffs, with zero regrettable attrition.
• Launched new impactful projects on the India team while dealing with the hiring freeze of COVID, and created new collaborative relationships across multiple orgs at Uber to drive adoption of our platforms.
• Maps Intelligence (Sep’18 - Jun’19)
• Setup the Bangalore team & charter from scratch, onboarding a team of 6 engineers to a new domain, collaborating with a geo-distributed PM & DS counterpart. Delivered the planned OKRs with my team creating extensible systems.
• Ran goal-setting sessions for the team, evangelized coding best-practices, setup on-call process & operational excellence rigor.
• Represented the team’s work across the company by giving tech talks & sending newsletters.
