Currently, there are powerful discrete systems to gather either system metrics or logs. Yet developers/end users sometimes fail to identify why an error might have happened, and what the system behavior was when the error occurred. For example, an error might be reproducible only during high CPU/high IO utilization, or we are unable to find out how the application was behaving given a snapshot of system metrics. This session offers a simple yet powerful solution using beats, elasticsearh, and Kibana for combining logs and system metrics in one place, thereby providing a simple holistic solution for understating/debugging systems/applications in a better way.
