I am the Director of Engineering for Jira Platform at Atlassian. I lead a 300 person globally distributed team to deliver some of the core capabilities that drive the entire suite of Atlassian products. My teams runs the most critical business services in Atlassian. We deliver Enterprise grade scale, performance and reliability. Prior to this I was the Director of Engineering for Journey to Cloud at Atlassian leading a 500 person team spanning three continents from Poland to Sydney via Ukraine and India. With nearly 25 years working across legal, insurance, banking and tech industries, I have the expertise and privilege to build global strategy, people capability and senior leadership to accelerate our revenue goals. I am a lateral, creative thinker, I solve problems in new and interesting ways – and rarely conform to the status quo. I believe that inertia can hold teams back and my job is to challenge that from occurring, enabling teams to make step changes and not optimize for local maxima.
