• In my role as Senior Manager Data Science at Swiggy, I lead a team that drives Search relevance, recommendations, and catalog intelligence for the Food and E-commerce BUs. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, I define roadmaps and identify key opportunities for Data Science to drive company priorities. My team is responsible for developing and maintaining models in high priority areas such as recommendations, search ranking, and generative AI.I participate in monthly cadence meetings with the CEO and CTO, where we review progress, discuss strategic roadmaps, and ensure alignment on key initiatives and long-term goals for Search.

• As a Senior Data Scientist, I played a hands-on and technical leadership role across various search components, such as autocomplete, query understanding, semantic retrieval, learning-to-rank (LTR), multi-objective ranking, food taxonomy classification, personalized cuisine/dish recommendations, and realtime spell correction. I also defined relevance and business metrics to enhance search performance. Over three years, I increased Data Science involvement from zero to nearly 80% across all search components, driving significant improvements in search relevance, business growth and revenue.
