• Motivation: Myself being from rural background, Shattered after seeing kids from my school & village around with loads of talent but lack of proper mentorship to both parents and students made them dropouts in the middle.
• After a lot of discussions, research, boiled down to the root cause- "lack of education". Wanted to do something about it.
• Started small with adoption of one govt school, with four of my friends, Aashayam-to Literate India was born in Jan 2011.
• We have grown to team of 200+ volunteers from NIT Warangal within a year.
• Adopted two govt schools ZPHS Kazipet, ZPHS Markaji (Govt Schools around Warangal) for evening tuitions for maths, physics & chemistry.
• Organized multiple career guidance sessions, mentoring sessions in collaboration with Vandemataram Foundation, together we reached around 20000+ students in a span of 3 years.
• Organized science fair events to invite innovation from govt schools in collaboration with NIT Warangal students.
• Was appreciated by educationist Chukka Ramaiah sir and multiple bureaucrats of Telangana
• Currently not so active as founding team is busy with personal career across multiple geographies.
• We wish to empower the rural education in future.
