About

After college, I sat down and made a list of the things I loved most. At the top were selling, storytelling, writing, hunting for great homes, and thrifting unique furniture. That list led me to start running Airbnbs in 2020, just for some passive income. One thing led to another, and now I'm building Flent - a full-stack renting marketplace for affluent India. Flent is the fastest & easiest way to rent a home in Bangalore. We’ve built a network of tastefully designed, fully furnished in the city’s most sought-after neighbourhoods. Minimal deposits. Zero brokerage. Zero hassle. Just pack your clothes, move in, and start living. So, why rent when you can Flent?

Slaash

Co-Founder

Jun 2023Oct 2023 · 4 mos · Bengaluru, Karnataka, India · On-site

  • Slaash was an AI-based CRO tool for D2C brands. 97% of their website traffic is anonymous, identifying visitor intent in real-time seemed like a big opportunity.
  • Built a PoC, tested it with 6 stores. Got a pilot customer for our V1, which never went live.
  • More on www.slaash.it
  • Eventually realised that the pathological obsession of a founder to solve a problem is a very important aspect in company building.

  • Did whatever it took to improve Awareness, Activation, Retention, Revenue and Referral :)
  • Learnings -
  • 1. Don't sell what you've built, sell what the customer needs
  • 2. If upside > downside, prefer speed over perfection. If downside > upside, prefer perfection over speed
  • 3. Pick fewer things, and do a great job at them. The bar of execution goes as high as you take it
  • 4. Positioning is a part of your product, don't treat them separately
  • 5. Your product is never the best one, so it’s the job of GTM to keep on iterating the positioning and capture market share so that sales can sell, product can build and one day when you’ll have a superior product, marketing it will become easier than before

  • Everything I explored in college revolved around 4 things - Content, Marketing, Startups and Technology. And I thought (and still do) that the marriage of content and tech can disrupt the way legacy media businesses have operated.
  • Joined YourStory as one of the first PMs - tinkered with a LOT of ideas on how we can inculcate data and technology in everything that the company does. Built a couple of internal and consumer facing products from zero to one.

  • SaaS became the talk of the town when I was in my third year of college, and I was fortunate enough to land an internship in one of the best marketing teams amongst India-based SaaS startups. Worked closely with the Director of Marketing - explored the world of Mark. Ops. & Brand Marketing.
  • The lovely folks at Innovaccer extended me a full-time offer and I was thrilled to be joining them as a full-time employee, but life had something else in store for me XD
