About

I have joined Cropin as Associate Director in the AI Labs group. Prior to this I was with KLA Tencor as Senior Manager Algorithm in their Research Division. I mentored the research team at Philips Research to build state of the art Deep Learning and Machine Learning algorithms for Fetal Ultrasound Analysis. Earlier as Manager at Robert Bosch Engineering and Business Solutions, my team in New Business Technologies was exploring healthcare technologies for emerging markets. One of the initiatives I was involved is in building Fundus Image Analysis Platform and Deep Learning algorithms. I have successfully developed state of the art algorithm using Machine Learning approach for classifying Fundus Images and detecting Diabetic Retinopathy, Glaucoma and Dry Eye. Prior to my assignment at Bosch, I was Research Engineer at GE Global Research, working on Oncology Quantification, (DCE-MRI), Medical Image Registration. I was briefly also associated with academic research. I was Chairperson and Head of Department of Information Technology at Amrtia Vishwa Vidyapeetam. I started my professional career as Senior Scientist at Philips. I was with with Philips Research Asia - Bangalore for over an year. During my tenure at Philips Research, I was actively involved with a project requiring signal processing and pattern classification. I was instrumental in coming up with new patentable ideas. I have total of Ten Invention Disclosures (Patents) to my credit. I have given invited guest lectures as part of International Conferences in Machine Learning, Medical Image Analysis, Medical Image Registration, Pattern Classification, both in India and Abroad. I have given pre-conference tutorial talks in IEEE and Springer International Conferences.
