Hi, I'm Dhruv ! I am a software engineer with 4.5 years of experience. I have experience working with Python, Java alongside many AWS services like Airflow, Flink, Lambda, SQS, ElastiCache etc. I earned by B.Tech. Computer Science degree from Indian Institute of Technology, Indore in 2019. I am excited by the opportunity to scale existing systems, as well as create useful systems from scratch. As examples, I helped scale up the email platform at Quince from a capacity of 500k emails a day to 10 million emails a day, which required meticulous understanding of the system, its failure points, and rate limitations. I also helped move away from a monorepo based design of Quince's task scheduler, to an ECS based design, helping teams overcome the default limitations in CPU and Memory availability. This helped fuel data science and data engineering projects which fetch over $10 million dollars annually. On a personal level, I love explaining things using visual aids. Infact I have my own Youtube channel (@newtonpopcorn), where I code simulations in Unity, and teach physics concepts.
