• Led the Engineering team for Advertiser Policy Compliance and Risk Detection and Enforcement of Payment Fraud, Phishing, Malware and Spam in Bing Ads. The system consists of multiple components including WCF middle tier service, SQL DB, Cosmos (MS internal Big Data platform) and Azure. Our detection systems are based on Machine Learning algorithms which operate at various stages of data ingestion focusing on reducing Revenue loss to fraudulent advertisers and protecting the search users of Bing Ads.
• Prior to this worked on building a BI platform for the BingAds Editorial validation platform using Cosmos, SQL DB, SQL Server Analysis and Reporting services handling Petabytes of data while maintaining SLAs and providing useful insights to both the engineering and business operations team.

• Managed 2 teams during this period owning testing for the following BingAds components:
• 1. Bid and Traffic Estimation: BingAds product which provides insights to advertisers to help them achieve their paid search campaign goals in terms of spend and traffic
• 2. BingAds internal marketplace metrics dashboard: This is an internal BI system which provides hourly reporting and alerting capabilities on hundreds off critical business KPI across all teams in BingAds
• 3. Responsible for testing of BingAds Quality Score, launched in July 2010, which filled a major hole in BingAds’ offering. It was the first time advertisers got feedback on the quality of their campaigns. Feature was well received and compared favorably to competitor's offering for being more transparent and providing better insight.
• Responsibilities: Building and leading team of talented SDETs, Test Automation for Big Data applications, Test strategy and execution, Being the voice of the customer during the planning phase.

• At Yahoo! I was responsible for testing the ETL framework used to create data dumps which would bootstrap the ad servers. The system was developed on Hadoop to Extract and Transform data from Oracle Warehouse onto Hadoop and subsequently onto the servers to reduce time to bootstrap.
• Authored test harness for functional testing of the workflows using Perl. Data integrity/audit framework was coded as custom map-reduce classes on Hadoop. The audit framework was made generic to compare any 2 datasets on Hadoop.

• Worked as a developer and team lead on projects in the logistics and Banking domains.
• Logistics: Dev/Lead for 3 modules of a product for DHL which would help their high volume shippers improve efficiency in creating large number of shipments everyday.
• Banking: Worked on Regulatory Reporting project for Goldman Sachs (New York) and then on backend trading and settlement system (Bangalore) as team lead for offshore team.
