Earlier, at Zomato I created the real-time analytics application (Jumbo) on Hadoop which can answer various kinds of what-if questions and help in understanding the usage of Zomato platform. It was integrated across Search, Ads, users visits etc Earlier, as the CTO of LeadInvent Technologies (co-founded in April, 2007), I was responsible for building the distributed computing technologies required for in-house & client projects. I excel at seeing the big picture, setting priorities, identifying gaps and managing initiatives.

Adobe was primarily a desktop product company which has made great progress in Cloud first offering. As my current role, the first assignment I delivered was cloud-first documents backend (mini-dropbox). A desktop solution (eg Photoshop) saves a file on local machine and in the background we sync incremental changes to cloud to create the next version of it. It is an extremely high-throughput application which handles 10x millions of customers on daily basis, distributed across multi-geographies and blocks direct revenue generating applications. The complexity is because of scale(10x M customers connected at any moment, 10s of TBs of data crossing through), 0 error-tolerance (you cannot screw user's data), 100% uptime by design (current implementation at >99.994%), early discovery of problems (monitoring/alerting/on-calls are non-negotiable), iterate fast.
The second ongoing assignment is to enable 3rd party access to uploaded content in a secure manner. This is again a V1 project and currently Beta is out for customer validation. One of the key problem with respect to 3rd party API integration is that once released they are there forever and often chocked/breaking at single point. As part of this project we are experimenting with a new concept and creating a mini-DNS built-into APIs. Any end-user is expected to traverse the link as they would say discover the web using Chrome. It's just the links have well-defined schemas (meaning) and we control the DNS which gives the meaning to those links. We released Beta Nov and expected to go GA by mid-2020.
We built cross-cloud, cross-datacenter, multiple fault-tolerant Mesos based database offering for Adobe services. The offering enabled hybrid cloud: Aws & Azure as single pool data lake. This was my first project in Adobe and I hired the complete team from scratch. The V1 project made all the way from idea to GA deployment.
