• Started with a simple goal to enable commercial buildings to save 40% on their HVAC energy bills, enhancing occupant comfort by keeping all zones within 1F of set point and maintain air quality as ASHRAE prescribed parameters.
• Using the power of IoT and cloud computing, designed and developed the initial product vision and product. The product won 9 startup competitions including CleantechOpen 2014, the most prestigious award in the cleantech world. It was also showcased at the Google Demo Day 2015. The product is deployed in 200+ buildings across US and India controlling 1000+ zones.
• Developed many first of its kind solutions like Dynamic Air Flow Balancing Solution (to eliminate hot/cold spots for optimised comfort), Outside Air Optimisation (incorporates CO2, outside & inside enthalpy, differential pressure etc to optimise use of outside air for free cooling) and Dynamic Chilled Water Balancing (to optimize use of chilled water for air conditioning). These together help save upto 25-70% of total energy cost.
• Built a software platform to create custom solutions using declarative control sequences that are pushed it to the end devices over the air. Using this, custom solutions were created for managing air quality, outdoor and signage lighting, assets tracking, energy monitoring and tracking, pressure balancing in restaurants, refrigeration room monitoring etc.
• Setup the India operations of 75F and grew the team to 32 people in 2 years. The team owned the complete product design & development of all products of 75F. Facility was equipped for hardware, industrial and plastics design & software design and development.
• Built vendor partnerships across India and China to take care of manufacturing and assembly of devices, wire harnesses, plastic enclosures, touch panels etc.
• 75F India was featured in the top 10 startups in India in the IoT domain for 2017 and added to the top 50 SME index maintained by ASSOCHAM.

• Providing the same level of productivity boosts to the PCB design Architects that we provided to the PCB design capture engineers (via Allegro System Architect), the goal was to build a solution that ensured that Design Architects could capture their high level designs in a design 'aware' tool rather than an external tool like Visio or Powerpoint that only captured the graphics but not the actual design intend. This product was also an experiment on intrapreneurship and the work involved everything that a startup would do from setting up and managing own independent code repositories, independent build/test machines and processes, running own customer surveys and the likes.

• The work involved building the table based design capture tool called as Allegro System Architect that aimed to cut PCB schematic design capture times from many months to a few weeks. As part of the three member core team I had the full ownership of the user interface as well as the day to day project management and tracking. My work involved providing the most modular architecture for the application to ensure it could be transformed into different product categories for different product segments as well as had the most modern user interface of its time.

• The audacious goal was to create a totally new design capture paradigm for PCB designs that could cut the design capture cycles of very large designs from months using traditional schematic capture to a few weeks using a table based approach. Working with the product architect my job was to work on a prototype that could showcase that goal and build the foundations on which the actual product was later built.

• Prime responsibility was to take over the erstwhile FPGA solution provided by Cadence and bring it back to life providing linkage to new tools and partners. The work involved working closely with teams from 5 partner companies (Synplicity, Xilinx, Altera, Actel and Minc) to bring forward an integrated FPGA design solution that provided a seamless design experience for the end user, hiding all the complexity that came about having to work with 6 products from 6 different companies individually.

• Building on the success of previous work done for enhancing Checkplus, took the complete ownership of the user interface of the flag ship front end product ConceptHDL and associated product Component Browser. Work involved enhancing the user interface to provide modern and seamless experience on the Windows environment while maintaining the user experience it provided on Unix for existing Unix users.

• Started my career developing and enhancing a LISP like programming language called Checkplus used to write programs for checking the correctness of PCB designs. The prime responsibility was to move Checkplus from a Unix only environment to Windows environment as part of the business wide initiative to provide Cadence tools on the Windows platform as well. The work involved building a totally new UI for enhanced user experience as well as providing enhancements in the core language for enhanced performance and expanded use across other designs types.
