Mentor || Google Code-In with OSGeo organization

  • Google Code-in is a contest to introduce pre-university students (ages 13-17) to open source software development. I mentored students in the pgRouting organization. I introduced many students about open source in IRC channels and help them to complete their task.

Google Summer of Code with OSGeo Organization

Apr 2018Aug 2018 · 4 mos

  • I had successfully completed the Google Summer of Code 2018 with OSGeo organisation on the pgRouting project. PgRouting extends the PostGIS / PostgreSQL geospatial database to provide geospatial routing functionality. pgRouting doesn’t support any Graph Algorithms like minimum spanning tree algorithms and min-cut algorithms which is widely applied in many routing applications. So, I added a prim and Kruskal algorithm for minimum spanning tree with multiple constraints and min-cut using Stoer Wagner algorithm and additionally a graph algorithm namely, random spanning tree for pgRouting during this GSoC period. All these algorithms work efficiently for a larger data set.
