At MeVis, I worked in the development department dealing with Siemens' healthcare imaging software applications (Syngo.via).
The challenge was to merge the following two things:
· a Continious Integration (CI) build system using MSBuild with the potential of nightly builds
· automated tests (written in C# based on NUnit)
The automated tests shall run during the nightly build process at least in an automated routine for regression.
My task was included:
· evaluate and prepare details for decision by development management which environment is appropriate to run these automated tests (development or production environment; virtual machine or physically available hardware). Present the decision in Monthly meeting to the whole Team.
· implement the solution selected. This includes configuration, implementing the solution on the build system and documentation of the project according to our quality management system
