Rohan Tiwari — DevOps Engineer
Prologue: The Birth of a Dream In Rajasthan, where history whispers through grand forts, a young boy found his passion for technology. That boy was me. I pursued a degree in Computer Science, captivated by the power to create and solve complex problems. After graduation, I moved to Bangalore, the "Tech Village" of India, ready to start my IT journey and make a name for myself. Thus, my adventure began. Saga I: MSaaS (Managed Services as a Saga) Theme: The Rising Hero In this early chapter, I ventured into the world of public clouds—AWS, Azure, and GCP. As I managed customer infrastructures, I built CI-CD pipelines, maintained production environments, and migrated legacy systems to containerized architectures. Armed with tools like Docker, Rundeck, Ansible, Sensu, Grafana, MySQL, Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, Cassandra, and Linux, I worked to achieve near-zero points of failure while optimizing costs. This saga was about learning, growing, and mastering new technologies at the forefront of cloud management. But the journey had only begun... Saga II: SRaaS (Site Reliability as a Saga) Theme: Strength and Resolve Next, I faced the high-stakes world of massive datacenters, where thousands of nodes required constant innovation. Automation became my ally, helping streamline processes as I worked with vendors to fix hardware, manage customer concerns, and maintain secure environments for mission-critical workloads. Managing production environments for over 300 clients, I ensured we met tight SLAs. I honed my skills in networking, DR, and security, mastering VPN, eBGP, and Direct Connect, while using Python and JavaScript to automate key tasks. Each challenge strengthened my resolve. Saga III: DOaaS (DevOps as a Saga) Theme: Creation and Destruction In my latest saga, I returned to the realm of public clouds, this time with a new mission: to develop powerful tools using Azure's Python SDK. I now build systems that enable customers to embrace the future of Nutanix. This phase is about creation—turning ideas into reality and pushing boundaries. With over 7 years of experience, I leverage SDLC and Agile methodologies to deliver impactful solutions. Epilogue: The Journey Continues As my adventure unfolds, the passion that ignited my journey in Rajasthan burns bright. Each saga builds on the last, and challenges continue to evolve. But no matter the complexity, I face each new task with strength and a thirst for knowledge. My story is far from over—the next saga awaits, and I’m ready.
