Bringing Azure cloud features and services to customers in their data center, in edge site locations like retail stores, or any public cloud or hosting provider without moving them from their preferred locations.
Improved SQL Server-Azure Arc Onboarding Process to scale for 100s of servers
Description:
Simplified the onboarding process for SQL Servers to Azure Arc by eliminating the pain points for customer for onboarding to use the service.
Created .NET application for onboarding process replacing Azure module for PowerShell, which was susceptible to regular breakages.
Customers were able to onboard their servers at scale with this, helping them any number of servers at the same time without much effort.
We were able to increase the number of servers onboarded to Azure after this from 100s to 10,000s.
Automatic certificate rotation for Entra ID Authentication
Designed and implemented full end to end cycle of certificate getting installed on user's machine for SQL Server Entra ID authentication to automatically rotate the certificate before expiry to avoid any downtime for Entra ID authentication.
Certificates used for authentication can have validity from 1 month to 12 months and needs to be rotated regularly, having this process automated for customer greatly increases the satisfaction of customers.

With SQL Server 2022, Entra ID Authentication is now supported using Azure Credentials.
It allows now users to use the Azure credentials to login to SQL Server 2022 in SSMS using the various secure methods of authentication.
It greatly simplifies the user management for Administrators on SQL Servers to have same user login to different SQL Servers.

Azure Arc enables you to manage all of your SQL Servers from a single point of control: Azure. As you connect your SQL Servers to Azure, you get a single place to view the detailed inventory of your SQL Servers and databases.

Implemented feature to transfer the ownership of security of data at rest in databases to the customer using key encryption key concept.
The customer becomes the sole owner of the data using an encryption key chosen by the user making the data accessible only to the customer.

The customer can revoke access to the key making the data to be inaccessible to everyone.

Worked on the design and development of the devanagri font tool whose idea was first proposed by Dr. Girish Dalvi. It provides one place solution for different devanagri fonts which can be selected by the tools that is compatible with WISWIG(What you see is what you get) design which makes it much easier for user even with basic knowledge of web applications. I worked on front end and backend of the web based font tool which incroporated knowledge of skills such as HTML, CSS and PHP. It is currently hosted by dsource.
