• Big data transfer using highly-scalable micro-services approach. We are building this with bleeding-edge technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, GoLang etc.
• I'm responsible for complete R&D ownership. Architecting, Design, Dev/QA, Mentoring, Hiring, Roadmap, prod-ops and customer support of ground up Big data transfer product. Product addresses large managed data transfer market.
• Key product challenges include network/data security, highly available/elastic cloud control plane, high performance data transport with perfect data integrity guarantee, active monitoring etc.
• Owned production/dev environment for continuous monitoring, updates and customer support. Worked with sales on each key account for demo, onboarding and making sure the product actually solves customer’s problems.

• As an initial employee of an early stage Networking Startup I was involved in everything - primarily as a troubleshooter for all things unknown.
• As part of the engineering team, I designed and implemented both parts of data-plane and control-plane components using Kubernetes, Docker, Kafka, MongoDB, etcd, ELK etc using GoLang as the primary language.
• Also, integration/tuning of these modules on GCP/AWS for high quality deliverables.
• Implemented everything needed for enterprise product including supportability/debug/diagnostics tools. Worked with 3rd party Security companies to get the product certified for highest level certification requirements of media industries.

• Scalable Storage Area Network. Heterogeneous SAN data migration (Lun Import).
• This project was started along with NetApp's entry into clustered SAN. Developing this product was real fun because both infrastructure and Lun-Import was evolved as we learnt the nuances of clustering.

• Development of networking products on embedded platform. Worked on ProCurve’s first network stacking product.
• Implemented features in the areas of switching and core infrastructure on VxWorks/GHS. Was involved in new platform introductions.

• Managed HP-UX on WAN stack and HP-UX I/O subsystem. Implemented features for X.25, FrameRelay and ATM.
• Also added several features to HP/UX storage infra for multipath support. Owned driver infrastructure subsystem for management of things like interrupt load balancing for large servers.

• Started my career with Unix (best way to learn system abstraction design); learning VMM, Buffer Cache, Streams, Sockets, Drivers etc. There is something with Programming in C on Unix which makes it the most fulfilling thing for a systems programmer.
