At SecurityScorecard, I worked at the intersection of reliability, performance, and security — helping our systems scale smoothly while staying cost-efficient and secure.
One of my biggest wins was leading an AWS cost optimization effort that saved the company around $500K a year without compromising speed or reliability. I also improved existing organization-wide Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and monitoring practices, giving both engineers and executives real-time visibility into system health.
Security was a big focus in my role. I implemented dynamic database credentials using HashiCorp Vault, which not only tightened security but also removed a lot of repetitive operational work for the team. I built and maintained infrastructure modules with AWS, Terraform, and Ansible — covering everything from CloudFront and Cloudflare configurations to database authentication and Datadog integrations.
On the operations side, I managed Kubernetes-hosted applications like the ClickHouse analytics platform and SonarQube, making sure they stayed highly available and fast. I also designed deployment strategies for apps hosted on AWS ECS — whether blue-green or rolling — based on each apps’s needs and risk level.
Collaboration was key. I worked closely with InfoSec to catch vulnerabilities early in the release cycle, and as part of the on-call rotation, I handled production incidents efficiently to keep systems running smoothly.
