• Property Prediction Model to predict the Laying Head Temperature for the Wire Rod Mill. The Laying Head Temperature acts as an important process deviation measuring parameter. My goal was to analyse the large chunks of raw unstructured data of the Wire Rod Mill to gain insights such as restricting the data to domain specific values, determining the parameters on which the LHT value depended, feature reduction on the determined parameters, applying various learning models like Regression, K Nearest Neighbors, Decision Tree. Finally, the Random Forest Regressor was chosen as the best tool for making predictions. I was also responsible was making a standalone application based on Python for the model predictions which would automatically read the data from the database and use the Random Forest Regressor Model which had previously been trained stored as a pickle file for making instant predictions.
