• I was part of the Oracle Advanced Analytics team which developed Oracle R Connector for Hadoop (ORCH). It is a R library that allows users to communicate/submit jobs with Hadoop, Hive, Impala, Oracle DB and Spark. A brief summary of my work :
• Implemented following machine learning algorithms on Apache Spark: Kmeans, Principal Component Analysis (PCA), Singular Value Decomposition (SVD), Low Rank Matrix Factorization and Correlation/Covariance.
• Developed, with a colleague, a new data pipeline for the entire product that allows easy integration with various other products along with the flexibility for developers to add/modify new features.
• Performed different roles as and when needed; DevOps for setting up development env for the team, QA for testing/development on new cluster environments, Core Developer for adding new algorithms/features etc.
