About

My background is ex-Cisco (Founding Member of the Cloud Computing team), ex-Nokia (Server Architecture for IoT) etc. In the cloud group in Cisco, I am part of the core software development team working on incubation for resource management to manage large-scale distributed systems for the next generation cloud provisioning. Before joining Cisco, I was in Microsoft for 5 years in a variety of roles, most notably in Windows Core Operating Systems and Cloud Computing Futures. I have also been responsible for the design and development of Tier Splitting Decision Engine for partitioning and distributing computation among the nodes in a large scale and massively parallel distributed system (as part of the Cloud Computing Futures effort in Microsoft Research). The work done here has been published in New York Times: http://bits.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/02/24/microsoft-studies-the-big-sleep/?_r=0 I have also been involved in the cloud track in TiECon - one of the largest entrepreneurship conferences in the world. I got my masters from Penn State University in Computer Science, having worked mainly in the field of computer architecture and databases. My passions include working on large-scale distributed systems, Very Large DataBases (VLDBs), computer architecture, algorithms and operating systems. Specialties: Large-scale distributed systems, Very Large DataBases (VLDBs), Computer Architecture, Algorithms and Operating Systems.
