• Owned, maintained and built a data pipeline/system to transform, enrich raw security logs and ingest into a different databases to make it searchable and make security detection easier using spark streaming, elastic search and AWS.
• Was an integral part of the Security Detection Platform to facilitate data scientists to run and experiment security machine learning models.
• Collaborated with data scientists to onboard a UBA based machine learning model on the Security Detection Platform. Work involved transforming data extraction part to an ETL pipeline and machine learning python scripts into a pyspark scheduled job, including monitoring and logging.
• Reduced AWS costs by ~10% by optimizing spark streaming jobs. Implemented a single click deployment solution for 60 spark streaming applications including checkpointing and committing kafka offsets for zero data loss.
• Automated kafka broker addition, scaling and migrated monitoring and alerting of kafka brokers to telegraf using jolokia, telegraf and grafana.
• Worked on designing and implementing a single click solution to deploy about 60 Spark Streaming Applications with a specified version on production.
• Designed and implemented a configuration driven dynamic solution responsible to add/delete and validate partitions in 60 external tables in AWS Athena and Qubole Hive.
