About

I am enthusiastic about math, and its applications in computer science. I enjoy understanding the theoretical aspects and the beauty of math behind them, and am always eager to apply this knowledge to build better products and services. I left Bloomberg in April 2021 and moved to southern California to pursue a career in quantitative research. I joined the Machine Learning group at Bloomberg first as an intern in 2015, and then as a full-time employee in February 2016. I worked on their Question-Answering framework that parses natural language queries, gives auto-complete suggestions, and builds semantic interpretations for a couple of years, before switching to the Pattern Recognition Team. I run/swim/bike to fundraise for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, the Susan G Komen Foundation and the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation. I've finished a 100-mile run, and a couple of IRONMAN triathlons. Philanthropy is very close to my heart and I accumulated close to a thousand hours of volunteer work with the Bloomberg Philanthropies and Engagement Division during my time in NYC. During the pandemic, I've continued mentoring online with Read Ahead.
