• 1. Rxjs migration - Bulk code update across Jira to improve performance, reduced bundle size by 28Kb
• Led the whole initiative from inception to delivery
• Developed a codemod using jsCodeshift to automate bulk updates across 2,200+ files, significantly streamlining refactoring efforts and impacting 58 teams.
• 2. Modernisation of Issue view - Upgrading customer experience and performance in Jira
• Drove & executed 3 major releases for the Jira Issue View Decomposition, leading a 3-person team to deliver 7 fields and improve the modularity and performance.
• Drove front-end development for Jira Issue View and Issue Transition, building robust fields with TypeScript and Relay. Initiated and developed a foundational wrapper component for Issue Transitions which was adopted in 30+ fields.
• 3. Notification Hub - An interface for users to set personal notification preferences and reduce customer support load
• Led 2 Milestones to build and ship Notifications Hub page which allows users to set their Notification preferences.
• Collaborated with the backend team to integrate GraphQl APIs
• 4. JSIS Productionisation - Jira search modernisation
• Led the Productionisation of migrating Jira search to a new JSIS service from JVIS service.
• Created monitoring dashboards on Databricks to measure performance improvements post migration.
• Coordinated and managed alignment across stakeholders from three teams, ensuring successful execution and communication throughout the Jira search migration.
• 5. Issue terminology refresh - Rebranding the term ‘Issue’ to ‘Work item’ in Jira and Confluence.
• Developed a Node.js script to automate the extraction & cataloging of ~3800 strings with the term 'Issue' across Jira and Confluence to streamline content analysis.
• Defined project scope and detailed milestones for a critical string replacement effort & led one milestone, directing a team of 4 to deliver ~800 Jira strings replacements.
