• Led both CIA and Smart Costing engineering teams in parallel -
• 1. CIA (Competitive Intelligence & Analytics) – Led the entire crawler pipeline – the system that decides how/when
• millions of catalog items have to be scheduled; how to optimize the crawls but still maintain price freshness; extract all relevant attributes and publish thousands of price points per sec after anomaly detection etc. This is a very largescale data acquisition and on-demand analytics platform that collect various competitive signals from diverse channels and process those to create actionable insights for catalog quality improvement, pricing and inventory management. Critical and revenue impacting business decisions are based on the insights and analytics provided by these systems. These systems serve Walmart US, Canada, Brazil, Mexico and many other markets round the world. Architected and built a new proxy service that can serve thousands of crawl requests per second using ‘healthy’ proxies.
• 2. Smart Costing - Cost analytics and decision support platform that provides a strategic advantage to Walmart’s business - providing insights into cost optimisation opportunities and thereby contributing to Walmart’s philosophy of EDLC (Every Day Low Cost).
• Led “ASDA Groceris” and “Walmart Canada” in Walmart during 2016-17 –
• 1. ASDA Groceries - Led the engineering teams responsible for Category Development, Customer Accounts, and Personalisation. Apart from many critical, revenue and customer impacting initiatives, also has the credit for leading a huge initiative which the Business considers as the biggest one rolled out in last 6 years from ASDA Engineering.
• 2. Walmart Canada - Built the team and led the first engineering initiative in Bangalore for Walmart Canada which later grew to a 45+ member team (after I took up Smart Costing and CIA).

• After the acquisition of Iron Mountain Digital by Autonomy (in May 2011), took on the role of heading the Bangalore R&D for “Autonomy Promote” suite of products like TeamSite, LiveSite, OpenDeploy etc. Later these products were branded under HP when HP acquired Autonomy in Oct 2011.
• Headed Bangalore R&D team for the following products -
• HP (Interwoven) TeamSite / LiveSite – An easy-to-use, modern web content management (WCM) platform that helps you take control of your multichannel digital experiences, site design, layout, rich media management, and analytics.
• HP (Interwoven) OpenDeploy – Distribution server software; Enables transactional, scheduled aggregation and deployment from any source.
• HP (Interwoven) ControlHub – Content Change management solution; Platform to aggregate and coordinate code and content changes from many repositories, synchronising and versioning the changes, and then deploying the changes through test, pre-production, and production stages.
• HP MediaBin – A platform to effectively manage, reuse, distribute, and publish all customer-facing digital assets
• Prior to that, led the Connected Backup R&D teams in Bangalore.
• Connected Backup (Iron Mountain) – Ensures enterprise-proven, secure and efficient data-protection without disrupting users at work.
