• Architected Hike’s first cloud-based chat iOS client, migrating messaging and media backups from iCloud to Hike’s private cloud. Designed and engineered the client flow that allowed uninterrupted chat during massive data syncs, enabling seamless desktop access once migration completed.

Apr 2018 – Dec 2018 · 8 mos

• Overhauled the iCloud backup/restore process. Decomposed restore into parallel message and media workflows, reducing message restore from hours to minutes and allowing users to chat immediately. This 10× speed improvement dramatically cut failures, battery drain, and thermal issues.
