• ● Started on the Goals team and actively lead the efforts to revamp the entire goals vertical.

The platform limits risks and liability; and we make it easier for HR and health insurance brokers/ agents alike to be the strategic drivers and champions for their business counterparts.

• EXPERIENCE AND RESPONSIBILITIES include
• ● Migrating the entire infrastructure(both staging and prodcution) to AWS Opsworks -
• The stack which was previously on EC2 was moved to a Chef orchestrated environment.
• Planned and executed the migration, with zero downtime and a significant performance boost.
• Wrote chef recipes for setting up the Rails stack including app servers and background workers.
• ● Improved response time by 50% by introducing caching.
• ● Setup the environment on AWS from scratch - Setup the VPC, Security Groups, ELB etc.

• ● Patched redis-rb gem to disconnect and reconnect to AWS Elasticcache when redis secondary is promoted to primary, thus preventing the need to restart the app instances.
• ● Reduced monthly AWS bill by 40% by introducing load-sharing among background workers.
• ● Developed a mechanism to start/stop AWS instances according to load - akin to Auto scaling groups.
