• I was the site lead for the Toronto office of Bolt and help grow the team from 7 to over 40 in less than 2 years.
• Introduced data driven practices at Bolt and my team launched the merchant analytics product at Bolt to deliver insights to merchants about their conversion rates, payment volumes and insights about their shoppers.
• Built a continuous integration and deployment pipeline for analytics workloads using DBT, Redshift, SPARC and Airflow.
• Modernized Bolt's internal tooling for merchant support by transitioning to a low code platform to allow rapid iteration of tooling to keep up with the wide product launches at Bolt.

• I lead the book of record team in building modern reporting systems for Wealthsimple. We build the systems responsible for tracking billions of dollars of assets held by our clients and hundreds of millions of financial transactions. Our challenge is how to scale systems when our data must be strictly sequential and auditable.
• I helped grow the team from two engineers to ten. I was involved in designing the hiring process for the engineering and technical product manager functions as well as interviewing candidates and recruiting.
• I helped design frameworks and best practices for Java/Kotlin services at Wealthsimple including transitioning from legacy Java, REST synchronous services to Kotlin, event driven asynchronous services.

• I worked on the Alexa / Echo team and helped launched the calling feature for Alexa and worked on the Echo Connect. I wrote the integration with core echo call management systems and helped coordinate development and testing of multiple teams for device software.

• I lead the back-end server engineering team at Kik interactive. My work includes management of Kik's real-time messaging system on bare-metal as well as cloud based services deployment. I worked to build kik's in-house micro-services platform using gRPC as well as to optimize and standardize orchestration, monitoring and deployment across a number of systems. I also helped design kik's development, deployment, testing and project management workflows.
• In addition to my technical work I have standardized our hiring strategy and our interview process. I also lead technical outreach efforts by organizing the DevOps and Docker meetups for the KW region. I was involved in vendor management for kik's cloud providers, network services providers and contractors.

• I worked on building the server infrastructure for Monopoly Slots. I have lead efforts to load-test and optimize system performance, setup build and deployment automation, setup live-monitoring and alerting systems. In addition, I designed and led efforts to build a downloadable content release pipeline. I have also been involved in system architecture design and implementation, standardizing team practices, creating and setting up best practices of branching, deployment and release management.
