• I was actively preparing for the UPSC civil services examination. I wrote mains exam as well. During the preparations, I studied diverse subjects like policy-making, international relations, economics, finance, polity-governance, history, geography, agriculture, society, etc.
• My experience has taught me the importance of adaptability and continuous learning—qualities that have enabled me to pivot from public administration to software engineering. I am passionate about building innovative solutions that drive impact, and I thrive in environments that require critical thinking, research and collaboration. The experiences, and knowledge I gained from this break are invaluable to me.

• Analysed 5212 pdb files (metalloproteins) and determined the relative preference of residues for metal binding
•  Discovered the role of MET in Cu binding
•  Developed a C++ algorithm to determine and characterize the geometry of a metal binding site
•  Examined conservation of “Cu binding MET” in distantly related proteins using bioinformatics tools
•  Investigated for a repeated Cu binding complex in cases which showed significant MET conservation
•  Generated a statistical record of residues binding to different metals in protein structures
•  Discovered a novel Cu binding motif (HIS-CYS-HIS-MET)
