I've spent the last decade building tech at startups and big companies, lately finding my groove in DevOps. Started out in mobile dev with React Native and backend work in GoLang, which taught me a ton about what developers actually need to be productive. Senior React Native UI Developer

Led the major upgrade of Status mobile app from React Native 0.63 to 0.73, wrestling with ClojureScript and Nix along the way. This was quite a feat for me since nobody wanted to touch the upgrade with a 10 foot stick.
Built cool features like local device pairing and a new share system. Shifted QR code generation to our Go backend when we noticed the JS thread was getting bogged down.
Worked closely with designers to figure out what's actually possible to build, and spent plenty of time in GitHub reviewing code and improving our docs.
I also helped unblock QA with release blockers and critical upgrades.
