Hello! I am Sakalya Mitra, a highly motivated individual with a passion for data science, 🦾machine learning, and AI. With 2+ of experience in the field, I have honed my skills in areas such as data structures and algorithms, object-oriented programming, and Android development. I am proficient in programming languages such as C++, JAVA, Python, Kotlin, and C, and have expertise in technologies like Google Firebase, C++ STL, Git and GitHub, Canva, Sklearn, Tensorflow, and Deep learning. Currently, I am working as a Data Science Intern at Scaler by InterviewBit, where I collaborate with the Data Science Team to develop curriculum and projects on topics like Advanced Probability, Statistics, Calculus, and Data Structures. I have developed over 100 questions and three projects for the Advance Data Science Course. Prior to this, I worked as an AI/ML Intern at NinjaStudy, where I developed NLP-based models to build a chatbot for self-learning English using models like T5, Gramformer, etc. I worked on features such as Grammar Correction/Suggestion, POS Tagging, and Contextual Understanding. I am proud to have achieved several milestones in my career. I ranked in the Top 3 at MLDLS 2021 with Sign Language Prediction Model using basic CNN, achieved a Global Rank of 439 in Codechef February Long Contest 2021, and finished among the Top 2% in Analytics track and ESAT India Rank 495. I was a runner-up in WCE Hackathon and ML Sprint by Data Science Club, VIT Bhopal, and achieved a max CodeChef rating of 1653 (3*) under handle sakalya_123. I was also a Google Hashcode 2022 participant with AIR 464, Global Rank – 1647, and ranked in the Top 5 in KSP Police Hackathon organized by IIIT Bangalore out of 10K+ teams. I was selected as a GitHub Campus Expert among 1000+ applicants from India and established startups, and completed 30 Days of Google Cloud (2 Tracks, 11 Quests) Profile in October 2021. In my previous positions of responsibility, I served as the Technical Lead at Codecademy VIT Bhopal Chapter. I also served as the Content Lead at AI Club VIT Bhopal nurturing AI and ML enthusiasm through various events. I also worked as a Python Mentor at Upskill Community providing low-cost quality education to students in various emerging technologies.
