• Y! Store is a world leading e-commerce platform that hosts 40,000+ Merchants and supports $3+ billion in annual sales. The platform includes integrations with leading banks, shippers, gateways, search engines, and several third parties.
• Currently I’m working on a new and refreshed platform as part of the strategic vision to regain the #1 position in the hosted e-commerce market. As part of that I have contributed to:
• Modules development:
• Our merchant’s storefront is composed of several modules which perform the core functionalities of e- commerce website. A module is built on express framework and contains controller and view. I worked on building several modules such as menu, banner, collection, cart and checkout.
• Theme development:
• Our merchants can choose specifically designed themes for their e-commerce storefront. I worked on development of several themes for our merchants. Theme development included building desktop and mobile themes. Mobile themes were built responsive so they could work on tablet also.
• Theme editor:
• Our e-commerce platform provides a WYSIWYG editor to our merchant to customize their themes. Editor provides the facility to edit the markup and change the settings of modules present in the theme. I worked on menu and banner modules and custom pages in theme editor.
• Floating cart and shopping cart:
• Our e-commerce platform provides secure cart and checkout pages on storefront, which are hosted on yahoostore domain, which is different from merchant bought domain. I worked on floating cart and shopping cart where a buyer can update his cart.
• Business API:
• I worked on APIs related to saving and resizing of images uploaded by merchant for their products, categories and collections.
