Ankit was mostly recently COO/CPO at FreeCharge. He moved to FreeCharge team as CPO from Snapdeal (post acquisition by Snapdeal) with a mission to build the fastest and safest digital payment experience for over 60 MN users. In March 2017, he was promoted to COO to look after other areas including merchant acquisition, partnerships, user growth & marketing & operations. FreeCharge is the fastest way to pay for recharges, utility bill payments, at all major online platforms and offline stores In India. With a mission to fight cash, FreeCharge does over 1 MN txns per day at more than 1 lakh merchants. Prior to joining FreeCharge, Ankit was the Senior Vice President, Product at Snapdeal. He joined the Snapdeal’s founding team at its inception in 2010 as the first product guy. Since then, he led the product development from scratch for India’s largest marketplace with sales of over $4 billion in a year. He built the highly scalable and complex products for buyer experience, seller ecosystem, supply chain management, payments, content & catalog system. He grew from first product person to a team of 280+ members comprising product management, analytics, product design, program management and product operations. Earlier, he co-founded itasveer in 2006, an online service for photo printing. Itasveer was acquired by a Pune based IT Services company. Ankit holds a B Tech from IIT Delhi.
