• Developed comprehensive BCDR strategies, including risk assessments, disaster recovery procedures, and communication protocols for a variety of high-scale/complexity services with multi layered dependencies.
• Enabled runtime and behavioral analysis of Chromium browser extensions in Edge browser. Used Azure Data Lake to aggregate millions of data points for extension scanning.
• This effort resulted in the detection of many malicious extensions previously hidden from our static & dynamic capabilities.

• Preventing any malicious extension reaching Edge Addons store and its users.
• Some key contributions
• Built and secured a React single-page application (SPA) with a dotnet backend, pre-populated with data sources to speed up the threat documenting process for malicious patterns. The application also includes search features to enhance the analysis of the Extensions threat landscape. Integrated various capabilities from the tool to increase researcher efficiency and automate repetitive tasks.
• Implemented Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) for the portal and backend in Azure Active Directory, and integrated with Application Insights to track success metrics.
• Built a scalable platform for detecting malicious extensions using Pub-Sub architecture and Azure Service Bus. The platform included authentication, data capture, and telemetry recording solutions.
• Built a Python-based service to identify duplicate documents using advanced algorithms and caching techniques. This service was utilized to detect instances of potentially malicious extensions being re-submitted under different names.
• Integrated a semantic code analysis engine to generate signals and detect malicious extensions in the above framework. Used Azure Batch to manage workflows and wrote the microservice in dotnet core 6.0
• Provided researchers with a development environment to build and maintain version-controlled rules using the above engine and to scan/hunt extension packages.
• Designed and implemented a scalable solution that enabled researchers to scan a large number of extensions for malicious patterns using advanced pattern-matching tools. The solution utilized Azure Storage and Functions to maintain a synchronized catalog of extensions with the live database.

• Ensured that store shines on various search engines such as Bing/Google etc.
• Developed UI components using React 16. Used React hooks for global state management.
• Integrated with Azure CDN providers to improve webapp loading experience. Worked on DevOps to improve time to ship.
• Incorporated latest UI development practices such as Javascript minificiation and bundling.
• Enabled Store to be accessibility compliant as per Microsoft Public facing website standards.
