• Claim processing performance:
• Rebuilt the entire claims processing engine, replacing the old single queue-based non-parallel system with a highly scalable and performant claims execution engine using multiple RabbitMQ queues, Redis, and modular design.
• Parallel processing architecture with one coordinator node working in sync with multiple AI model worker nodes.
• Engine parses, plans, and schedules a distributed claims processing plan across AI model worker nodes.
• Engine processes claim into multiple stages across worker nodes with an acyclic dependency on each other.
• All processing in-memory and pipelined across network between stages to avoid unnecessary I/O overhead.
• Adding more AI model worker nodes allows for more parallelism and faster processing.
• Infrastructure restructuring:
• Restructured Kubernetes deployments and further optimized engine to share AI model workers (as they are resource intensive).
• All environments up to 4x faster and AWS EKS and EC2 costs reduced by about 20%.
• Codebase consolidation:
• Spearheaded efforts to merge more than 80 AI model repositories into one by developing a Python wrapper that allows running AI models in API (for testing) and RabbitMQ consumer (for prod) modes.
• Converting AI models to RabbitMQ consumers avoided overloading them when being used via APIs.

• I also led the development of a Page Management System that generates static cached JSONs for more than 1200+ detail pages on the website. This system significantly improves performance and scalability by eliminating the need to fetch and render each page individually.
