As a Boot Team Intern at Qualcomm, I focused on improving boot time on MDM devices through the implementation of Parallel Load and Hash for NAND Boot. I devised a device-agnostic non-blocking mode solution to load segments from Flash into Memory, and parallelized hash checking and segment loading using concepts from DMA. These efforts resulted in significant improvements in boot time, reducing it by 0.6s-1s on different targets using the same code. This experience honed my skills in DMA, Operating Systems, and C programming.
