  • As an intern at ISRC, I created a cross platform mobile app that collects EEG data generated from a user wearing a brain cap and playing a brain controlled video game. The app collects this EEG data through UDP and sends it continuously to an EC2 instance through websockets. The backend of the application is built in Node.js which uses Socket.io to collect the continuous stream of data. This data gets stored into InfluxDB as a time-series data for later analysis. A front end web app built using D3.js enables the users to view their EEG data streaming in real time with almost negligible latency.

  • During my internship at ISRC, I worked on a project called NeuroSensi, a complete brain-computer interface package comprising of proprietary hardware and software to measure sensorimotor brain activity for the purposes of control, communication and entertainment. As a part of this project, I developed a cross platform 3D brain controlled video game built in Unity. The movement of character inside the game is controlled using Motor Imagery based brain computer interface control strategy which involves imagination of the movement of various body parts. For example, the user can imagine squeezing right or left fist to move the character to right or left respectively. This video game will be used to help stroke patients who are unable to move or speak to communicate with doctors and their family and little kids to focus
