• I with team at Bell Labs Bangalore worked towards finding correlation between Online Social Networks and Operator Network. I collected and pre-processed Twitter data for users from Manhattan for a 2 week time period. For processing and storing I used Hadoop with HBase. I designed a complete system to predict amount of Twitter traffic in a given geographical area at a given time in future. I also mined wireless data from a location over 2 weeks to establish correlation between overall and online social networks traffic. As part of the intern our team filed patent, titled ”Predicting extreme values of cellular data traffic by analyzing Online Social Networks”. Being primarily a data mining internship, I worked with a number of technologies including Hadoop, HBase, Java, Python and Matlab.

• I devised a model to store and access configuration files to and from a central repository. I also developed a working prototype to establish the feasibility of proposed model. I designed and wrote a compiler to convert existing files to new proposed format. I did all of this while collaborating with my team at Amazon Hyderabad and teams at Amazon Seattle.
• I applied my knowledge of computer science that I had learnt during my past 3 years at IIT Kanpur while learning a lot of new stuff. Technologies that I used and learnt include Client-Server Computing, REST API, Java EE, C++, Python, Compiler Design and Databases.
