I am a Dutch Staff iOS engineer, tech- & team lead, living in Sweden since 2001. I'm fluent in Dutch, Swedish and English. Please feel free to contact me, I'm always open to meet new people! I have worked professionally with app development since 2005, mostly with a focus on web- and mobile applications. Since 2009 I have a solid experience of developing native apps mainly for the iOS platform including underlying architectural solutions to support these apps. Throughout my career I have worked across various sectors ranging from healthcare to online gambling and from governmental to e-commerce. I am very passionate and precise about the apps I work with and I go great lengths in order to deliver with a high quality. I take great pleasure in leading teams as a tech lead, being more productive and learning new ways of working. I love to help my colleagues and to both teach others about my experiences and learn new things whenever I can. I have a passion for bringing people together, both professionally as well as personally and go to great lengths to build a positive and great team spirit. Since 2009 I have released over 30+ iOS apps on the AppStore and have build many more in my role as iOS Lead at Sogeti and as freelance senior iOS consultant at AppTrix AB. I am comfortable working with apps with large user base and millions of transactions as well as with in-house or proof-of-concept apps. As consultant I have built apps for clients such as PayPal, EasyPark, Axfood with Hemköp and Willys, Expressen and ICA each having hunderts of thousands of users per month as well as inhouse apps for clients such as Skavstalund Flygplats Parkering AB and governmental institutions. In my private live I am a father of three sons, a husband to my incredible wife and a technology enthousiast. I love tryings out new things and gadgets and love to meet new people. I try to stay on top of the latest technology as well as being the best father and husband I can be. Outside of my position as Staff Engineer at PayPal, I co-organize a local non-profit organization for Apple enthusiasts called Cocoaheads Stockholm. I am fluent in Swedish, Dutch and English and understand a lot of German, but am no longer fluent.

As part of the Mobile Team working in the KL2020 project at ICA I have been the lead iOS developer for ICA's main app "ICA Appen". The ICA app is a loyalty customer app for ICA's customer where customers can browse through recipes, check their current bonus, pay with the app in-store and get their favourite stores latests offers.
The app is used monthly by hundreds of thousands of users. When I joined ICA's AppTeam, the app had an average rating of 1.2 starts on the iOS AppStores which we worked hard on changing and today (July 2020) the average rating of the app is at 3.2 with over 400 votes.
