I am a Mozambican technology enthusiast with a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK), India. My academic focus was on machine learning, data analysis, and cybersecurity, and I was honoured to receive the ICCR Award in recognition of both my academic excellence and cultural contributions during my studies. As a first author, I’ve published impactful research in Springer and IEEE, addressing real-world challenges through the use of artificial intelligence and natural language processing, particularly in the context of Portuguese-language content.

This was one of the first published projects utilizing audio in Portuguese. I worked with machine Learning and deep learning, where I collected a dataset;
Extracted audio-based features from Portuguese content for training diverse machine
learning algorithms.
○ Developed a comprehensive hate speech dataset in Portuguese, ensuring relevance and
appropriateness for the task.
○ Transformed audio data into image spectrograms and textual representations, subsequently
training and comparing their performance.
